How Much Do PAs Make in 2021

Take Part in the 2021 AAPA Salary Survey

The 2021 AAPA Salary Survey is now open for all PAs. Help move the PA profession forward by making salary and benefits more transparent. The AAPA salary survey is available through February, and you do not need to be an AAPA member to complete the survey. All US-based PAs will have a chance to win a gift card if they complete the survey.

A full report of the survey is sent out to all AAPA members later in the year. PAs who are not members of AAPA but participate in the salary survey will receive a free summary report.

The AAPA is the national professional organization representing PAs, providing a range of services, including educational opportunities and advocacy for the PA profession. Data for the annual AAPA salary report is collected based on a self-reported survey. The 2020 AAPA report had 13,682 PAs respond, less than 10% of all certified PAs in the U.S.

With a low response rate, it makes the AAPA salary report a less valid tool. To make it better for salary negotiation, more PAs must respond to the survey, so if you have not completed it yet, be sure to do it by the end of the month and share it with your PA colleagues.
