AAPA Q&A on PA Reimbursement

If you did not make it to the 2019 AAPA conference or you were there and missed the lecture on reimbursement here is a recent article from the AAPA from a Q and A session on PA reimbursement.

I’ve previously written on the why PAs should understand reimbursement. Most importantly to protect themselves from the legality of incorrect billing; but also so you can better understand your worth to an organization. Everything you do is not always associated with the amount that is billed out, but having numbers to show what you’re worth to an organization can help you in negotiations.

Most people did not go to PA school to worry about billing and reimbursement, but it is a very important topic to have a general understanding for any practicing PA. Check out the article from the AAPA for a little extra information on PA reimbursement.
