The Gift of Student Loan Payment

How About a Student Loan Payment for Christmas?

Remember the days when all you wanted for Christmas was your two front teeth? Or a pony? Welcome to the “real world”, and paying back your student loans. According to a recent poll by Student Loan Report 69.3% of borrowers would rather receive a student loan payment instead of gifts this holiday season.

The poll also showed that if borrowers were to receive cash as a gift 58.5% intended to put that money towards their debt.

The report confirms that many young borrowers’ priority is taking control of their debt; which is encouraging to know that they are focusing on getting out of debt, but also discouraging that so many have young adults have student debt to worry about.
